Overview

The Pipedrive connector registers webhooks on your company account, so changes arrive as they happen instead of on a schedule. Each event includes the current and previous values of the record, so a workflow can tell exactly which field moved.

Teams use it to create a QuickBooks invoice when a deal is won, to send a Gmail follow-up when a deal stalls in one stage and to post new large deals in a Slack channel.

Supported objects

  • Deals, persons, organizations and activities

  • Leads, products and notes

  • Custom fields, with their hashed keys mapped to readable names

How webhooks work

Tessel creates one webhook per object with the 2.0 payload format. Pipedrive posts each change with basic auth credentials that Tessel generated, and Tessel checks them before accepting the event. Retries from Pipedrive are deduplicated by the event ID in the payload metadata.

Rate limits

Pipedrive uses token-based rate limits that depend on your plan and seat count. Tessel reads the remaining budget from each response and spreads bulk updates out, so workflows do not stall other tools on the same account.

Permissions needed

Connect with OAuth as a Pipedrive user. Use an admin account so webhooks cover every user's deals, not only your own. Write scopes are only used by the create and update actions.

  • deals:read and contacts:read for events and lookups

  • webhooks:full to register and remove webhooks

  • deals:full and activities:full only for write actions

Setup

Four steps. About four minutes.
