Overview
The Adyen connector receives standard webhooks from your merchant accounts and turns each notification item into a typed event. Tessel checks the HMAC signature on every item, acknowledges with [accepted] and keeps the raw payload in the trace.
Payments teams use it to capture orders once a warehouse confirms shipment, to open a Zendesk ticket with defense documents when a chargeback lands and to load settlement reports into Snowflake.

How webhooks work
Adyen posts notification items to a Tessel URL in your workspace region. Tessel validates the signature with your HMAC key, checks the item against the schema and starts the matching workflow. Captures and refunds are asynchronous, so Tessel waits for the confirming webhook before marking a step done.
Retries
If Tessel is unreachable, Adyen retries with backoff and queues later items. Tessel deduplicates by pspReference and event code, so a retried notification never starts a second run.
Permissions needed
Create a separate API credential for Tessel. It needs webservice roles for the actions you use. Report access is only required for the report trigger.
