Overview

The Xero connector subscribes to invoice and contact webhooks for the organizations you connect. Xero sends a short notice with the resource ID, and Tessel fetches the full record before the workflow starts, so every event carries line items, totals and status.

Finance teams use it to send a Gmail reminder when an invoice passes its due date, to sync new contacts into HubSpot and to create bills from purchase requests approved in Slack.

Supported plans

• Xero Starter, Standard and Premium, in any region

• Several organizations on one connection, with the tenant ID on every event

• Multi-currency invoices, with the currency code kept on each line

How webhooks work

Xero signs each delivery with x-xero-signature. Tessel checks the signature, then calls the Accounting API for the changed invoice or contact. Several changes to one record in a short window arrive as one event with the latest state.

Rate limits

Xero allows 60 calls a minute and 5,000 a day per organization. Tessel spreads fetches and writes across that budget and queues the rest, and the trace shows when a step waited on the limit.

Permissions needed

Tessel connects with OAuth 2.0. It needs read access to transactions and contacts. Write scopes are only requested if a workflow creates bills, payments or contacts.
