Overview
The Google Drive connector opens a watch channel on the Drive changes feed, so Google tells Tessel when something changes instead of Tessel listing folders. Tessel then reads the change list from a saved page token, filters it to the folders you picked and emits one typed event per file.
Teams use it to load CSV exports into Snowflake when they land, to read a signed contract and update NetSuite and to share finished reports with a Google Workspace group.
Supported files
My Drive folders and shared drives
Google Docs, Sheets and Slides, exported as PDF, CSV or Office files
Any uploaded file, streamed in ranges for large downloads
How change notifications work
Tessel calls changes.watch with a channel that points at its webhook endpoint, then calls changes.list whenever a notification arrives. Channels expire, so Tessel renews them before they lapse and keeps the page token, so no change is missed between channels.
Large files
Downloads stream straight into the run's file storage instead of memory. Files over 100 MB are fetched in ranges, and a failed range is retried on its own instead of starting the download again.
Permissions needed
Connect with a Google account, or with a service account for shared drives. Tessel asks for read-only access by default. Upload, move and share actions need a write scope, and the narrower file scope is enough for files Tessel creates.

Four steps. About five minutes.
Most of the time goes into shared drive access. Tessel lists every folder the account can see.
